COVID-19 and Health Care Resources for Residents & Guests

COVID-19 Is Not on Vacation

We encourage all front line staff to familiarize yourselves with new COVID-19 guidelines and practices so that you can actively share information with guests on how to safely experience Whistler. This includes encouraging physical distancing in public places such as the Village Stroll and in public parks (keeping 2m from other parties), avoiding gatherings, and adhering to safety protocols put in place by Vancouver Coastal Health within local businesses.

Health Care Resources for Residents & Guests

If you or your guests require non-emergent care while in Whistler, contact the Whistler Virtual Walk-In Clinic. For urgent or emergent care locally, call the Whistler Health Care Centre at 604.932.4911. Call 911 for an emergency and 811 for non-emergency advice. The right care is local care that is connected to local systems that allow safe, in-person care if necessary.

Dining in Whistler: Know Before You Go

While many restaurants, pubs and cafes are now open, capacity will be limited or fully booked on weekends and holidays. We recommend that guests research dining options in advance of arrival, consider dining during non-peak times, make a few dinner reservations or opt for grab-and-go options. Use our dining guide and Doors Open Directory dining page for more information and planning tools.

Stay Bear Smart

Bears are a beloved part of Whistler's environment and culture, and we want to keep them safe. If guests are looking to see bears, please encourage them to sign up for a bear viewing tour, as this ensures safe bear viewing practices (such as keeping a safe distance and not crowding).

Please do your part in keeping our local bear population safe by sharing Bear Smart tips with your guests and friends! Bear Smart Information
